Add the ability to control the device volume.15 votes
We have added an option to mute the whole Player in the Player configuration.
We might be also implementing a scheduled volume control, if it gets enough traction. Check out the suggestions here:
We need the ability to auto-login to web pages via Yodeck. Can you please develop a scripting engine that would have the ability to supply login credentials to various web pages?36 votes
Scripting Engine is out! Check it out!
Here is the documentation: https://www.yodeck.com/docs/display/YO/Web+Scripting+Engine
The ability to bring in real time data in the form of a customisable ticker and rss containers you can customise62 votes
The RSS ticker is now available on our production site! Go ahead and check it out!
The ticker is super smooth (GPU-powered) and quite flexible. You can add one or more entries, including static texts and RSS feeds.
You also have a few customization options:
- scrolling speed (in seconds edge-to-edge)
- font type
- font styling, color & transparency
- background color & transparency
You can also have more than 1 ticker on the same Show, it works great!
We have a number of websites that we want to display. Many of these are unable to be rendered using the Yodeck player but they render fine using a normal browser. Good example below:16 votes
We now support Chromium as a secondary Web rendering engine! It is faster than our standard web viewer and can optionally provide limited support for Flash.
Only restriction is that Chromium cannot be rendered on top of video Playlists or other overlays. We plan to change that really soon. We issued a new suggestion for those of you that want to be updated on that: http://support.yodeck.com/forums/301815-general/suggestions/19400362-ability-to-overlay-chromium-and-pdf-on-top-of-vide
Keep in mind that Chromium is much heavier and resource-hungry than standard Web Viewer. You should always try the standard web viewer first, if possible. Having multiple Playlist on screen using Chromium can place a lot of load on your Player and can cause trouble in the long-run.
Perhaps could be done thru a HDMI to USB Input Device installed on the Player.19 votes
You can now use a Lenkeng LKV373A sender device to act as an HDMI-in port for your Players.
In the future, we might also be adding support USB DVB-T Tuners, depending on your how much this is requested by our users.
Please can you let Players resolve internal network addresses so that we can display local web pages. At the moment we can only display web facing pages. E.g. local DNS setting3 votes
Sorry for the late notification. We have released an option that allows you to deactive the standard Google DNS servers we use by default. This way, only the internal DNS servers on your network will be used.
DHCP is already available for both the Ethernet port and for the WiFi adapter. It is enabled by default. If you do not specify any static IP address, then DHCP will be used to get network configuration.
Make it easier to schedule certain times for the entire week/month/year by giving a weekday filter, which would apply the playlist/item you are wanting to schedule to certain days of the week (IE, Mon-Fri/Mon-Sat)
Would also work for hours, for example, if I want to play a "Happy Hour Specials" playlist between 14:00-16:00 Tues-Thurs, I would only have to enter it once to perform such task.15 votes
The “Repeat: Daily” option now provides for 7 checkboxes, one for each day of the week.
Be able to move media between folders while in folder view.0 votes
(Actually, this feature has been released a few weeks back, we just missed updating the forum.)
2. The ability to turn off snap to grid when placing playlists and sizing them on a show screen. My graphics almost never have the exactly the right proportions causing clipping or black bars to appear. Another solution would be to be able to specify the exact size and position of the playlist.3 votes
Just released an update that allows you to place content on Show with pixel-perfect positioning.
It would be great to be able to duplicate a show, schedule, or playlist, that then edited rather than having the create a new one each time.2 votes
There is now a new blue button “Duplicate”. When you click it, the show, schedule or playlist is copied.
Ability to change language. I am available to translate into Italian6 votes
We have released support for multiple languages! We now support English, Spanish, French and Turkish!
Slowly, we will be adding more languages.

It would be great if there were a way to send power on or off CEC commands when your monitor doesn't come on.23 votes
We have added two actions for turning screen on and off!
We already have whitelabel support! Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more info
The CEC compatibility link is empty on several help pages.1 vote
We have since fixed the broken links. Here is the correct link:
Allowing the ability to add extra user accounts to manage the presentations with permission groups as well.
- full user will get everything
- editor - can do everything but billing
- author - will only be able to create shows
I hope that makes sense.19 votes
Yodeck now supports managing multiple users per account. Each user can be assigned Permissions (View, Create, Change, Delete) for each section of the Yodeck Portal (e.g. Media, Shows, Schedules, Monitors, etc).
Able to add text such as photos in playlist17 votes
The TextBox Widget is now available on our production site. With it, you are able to edit text just like a richtext editor (e.g. MS Word), also specifying a background color and background opacity (transparency). You are able to add this Widget in a playlist, just like any other Media.
We are planning to improve this editor, because right now it does not provide many options that we feel our users need, but you can still use it in most cases. You can also specify custom HTML code, if you need to. But we are closing this idea now as completed!
Ad agencies need reports on what has been played back. We need exact reports on what has played.23 votes
Playback Reports are here!!
The first version of Playback Reports (a.k.a. proof-of-play reports) provide downloadable CSV files that contain Media ID, Player ID, Media Tags, Player Tags, timestamp generated, timestamp received, and a few other entries. These will be accessible via a simple configuration page to generate these reports on an daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Next iteration will add visualizations.
Media are now is one listing per type. It would be nice to have folders in media, so that it is easier to manage large numbers of images.10 votes
We released a Folder View of the Media section, that allows creating folders and managing media and folders in the classical sense of files.
Currently, media needs to be uploaded one by one. It would be much easier to allow for bulk uploading of multiple files.10 votes
you can now mass upload images, videos and powerpoint files!
- Don't see your idea?
