Schedule every 'x' minutes
Can you add the options to schedule a show every: hour, quarter and/or every ... minutes.
We like to show a standard show which will be overruled by a dedicated show every ´x´ minutes. Now we can't use the scheduler for that.

47 votesWe do have customers using touchscreens with Yodeck. We do plan to provide some better support for configuring the touchscreen.
Touchscreens are usable with Widgets and Web Page, and we plan to expand support for navigating content (move to next, previous) and add support for an on-screen keyboard and navigation buttons for the web browser.

Can we play a video clip with a specific time (start, end)?
For example: a video clip starts at 00:00 and ends at 10:15.

23 votesThere are a lot of ideas for Widgets. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to create all of the Widgets that our customers need. That is why we provide the ability to create your own Custom Widget:

The Widget you are proposing can be easily created. Within the Widget UI, you would enter the name and birthday of each employee and the Widget would display it easily.

enable hardware acceleration for the webkit browser
we need a browser that supports hardware acceleration in order to have video or animation render in the browser smoothly. Currently even simple animation isn't smooth, and is really limiting what we can use Yodeck for. This is particularly problematic with custom widgets where our hands are tied as far as development goes because everything that moves is choppy. An app to control yodeck
An app to control yodeck from mobile, instead of web browser
19 votesDeveloping an app for performing basic functions and receiving notifications is in our plans, but it is a low priority. The Yodeck portal works ok under a mobile web browser, so it is not a hard requirement to develop such an app.

Queue system
I would like to have to possibillity to integrate with a queue system.

Add multiple youtube links at same time or the capacity to put youtube channels
Capacity to add multiple links of youtube at once and/ or use youtube channels with list of videos
13 votesCurrently, we have no way to know that what the users has specified can indeed be fitted on the SD card storage. Providing an easy way to add tens or hundreds of YouTube videos, would probably cause issues. But we are looking into it and we will probably provide this in the near future.

WPA2-Enterprise
Even though this service is commonly used by companies, there is a severe lack of support for WPA2-Enterprise. The functionality should support all of the following:
- Authentication with certificate.
- Authentication with username and password.
- Allow automatic renewal of certificate.
- Insecure authentication which ignore lack of certification.
Currently this has to be done manually which is really risky, as soon as you use the integrated web functionality, it will overwrite all previous settings, setting the RPi in a state which forces manual configuration by hardware retrieval.

13 votesIf you are talking about additional font for the Web Page viewer, we would need more information. Perhaps, this is resolved by the addition of Chromium browser (check this idea: http://support.yodeck.com/forums/301815-general/suggestions/13794672-ability-to-render-more-advanced-web-content)
If you are talking about the RSS Ticker, we plan to add support for a Unicode font, so that all characters can be rendered (Chinese being the most problematic one right now).
Please provide more feedback on this.

provide a quick mechanism to override the current schedule
I am envisioning something like exists on a typical programmable thermostat, which allow you to override the schedule without actually editing the schedule. I am using the signs in a church, and most of the time the schedule works well, however if there is a special service day or time change, I'd like to be able to say "play show X now" - either forever or until a certain time. After I cancel the override, or the time is reached, then the normal schedule resumes.

Smart playlists to automatically play images in a specific folder
Smart Playlists - Automatically play all images in a specific folder. This will eliminate the extra step of adding new images to a playlist after loading them.
12 votesWe already have support for Tag-based Playlist. It allows you to create a Playlist that pulls in all Media based on combinations of Media Tags. So, you can upload Media, tag them, and Playlists are updated automatically.
The Tag-based Playlists feature is available under the “Pro” plan.
We are thinking about using Folders in a similar way.

Broadcast a Message
Broadcast an immediate message on all screens or a group of screens.
11 votesAlthough it sounds interesting, this feature needs refinement.
In the new version to be released this week, we do have a text Widget. You could add this text Widget to all Shows on top of all other content. You would set it to transparent background and do not type anything. Then, when ever you wanted to sent a message, you would edit the Widget, type the message, and push to all devices. But would this suffice as an “emergency broadcast”?

Fallback Show capability in case of network failure
In use cases, where network failure, the fallback show where online elements ( like youtube videos, rss, live feeds etc.) are not present, would be displayed on screen.
If screen will be back online, fallback show would be replaced by main show.8 votesIf you need this to provide troubleshooting info, perhaps it makes more sense to allow for a Widget to be setup this way, e.g. show IDs, etc, and a custom text message. And we could provide such a troubleshooting Widget out of the box. Would this make more sense?
Also, note that doing this for non-HTML content, such as Videos, YouTube, RSS Ticker, etc, can be tricky. Still, we will investigate.

draw the gps location
add gps usb to the raspi and to show the gps location on a map on the screen, that help in transportation.

Display a conference schedule.
Will you have a widget to display a conference schedule / agenda., eg. Speaker Jones, Room 20 @ 1pm.. etc?
7 votesOne way to do this would be to use the Richtext Widget and paste your HTML. Right now, it is not so easy to do, but eventually it will be. Also, we do plan to provide some templates for fixed layouts (HTML templates) which you will be able to edit within the Widget. One of them could be a scheduling template.

Expiry date
a date when an image will expire and be removed from the playlist.

This however does not remove Media from Playlists. There might be a need to remove expired Media from Playlists without deleting it. So, I am leave this to be reviewed and to gather more traction.

Support video with an alpha channel (transparency) so that one video can frame some other content
I want to be able to use one video with an alpha channel as a "frame" and overlay it on top of another video that is the main focus.
For now, I'm simply layering the one video on top of the other, but that means that there are really hard edges at the edge of the video.
6 votesFirst, we are planning to support multiple videos playback (a whole different request).
Now, concerning alpha-channel in videos, I think this is a firmware issue of the Raspberry Pi. Thee is a way to have a mask, but again no alpha channel beyond that mask.

This feature request has several implications.
First of all, it has little to do with CEC. The same request could be asking for USB IR remotes (which are internally handled by Linux as keyboard presses).
Right now, our playback engine is fully automated. This means that, you cannot affect the playback status of a playlist (move forward, backwards, etc). But, we plan to refactor the Player shortly to allow for different Playlist management.
So, while this is not a core-feature to add, it will probably be possible to add it via a Custom Widget. So, we will leave it here to check it out when the time comes.

Sound Check.
Adjust Sound of video clips to the same level, this will be helpful when you insert several music videos for example from youtube, so you get similar or same level of all videos.

1) provide a volume slider in each video entry, so that you can differentiate volume per Media
2) normalize volume for all MediaBoth ways are right now unknown, and we have not had enough testing to say if any of the two is feasible. As soon as we do, we will update you here.
