provide a quick mechanism to override the current schedule
I am envisioning something like exists on a typical programmable thermostat, which allow you to override the schedule without actually editing the schedule. I am using the signs in a church, and most of the time the schedule works well, however if there is a special service day or time change, I'd like to be able to say "play show X now" - either forever or until a certain time. After I cancel the override, or the time is reached, then the normal schedule resumes.
Currently the only way I seem to be able to do this is to modify the schedule.
A few months back, we released Emergency Notifications. This feature allows you to override the standard assigned content for a specific amount of time, without changing any settings.
Please check out the documentation for this feature and try it out: https://www.yodeck.com/docs/display/YO/11.9+Emergency+Alerts
It would be great if you can provide feedback on if this works for you or not!! Else, eventually we will consider this request closed.
Thank you everyone!
Although the Emergency Notification might be an easier way to accomplish what this request is asking for, I don't think it is quite the same thing. In particular, there is no way in Emergency Alerts to specify a time when the normal schedule should resume. Instead the Emergency Notification requires manual intervention to cancel the emergency alert.

we also need to overwrite the Current Schedule, a occasionally Vistors arriving whoch need a welcome Message
I would really love this feature. We use our monitors to show information about the development proces. But sometimes we want to use the monitors as a video wall. At the moment i remove the schedule for every monitor (the default video is streaming video) and afterwards i reassign the right schedule to the right monitor. A lot of work.
