Why do you download everything locally?

Internet access is not smooth everywhere. We could stream content, but that would mean that your Internet connection must be stable. The same goes for your WiFi network. If anything between your monitor and our server is a bit slow, it would not work properly.

That is why everything is downloaded locally on the SD card and played from there. Also, the player can withstand without an internet connection for more than 30 days. More details here.

What can't be downloaded locally:
  1. Video & Audio Streams
  2. YouTube live Streams
  3. Web pages
  4. Web Widgets such as Power Bi, Grafana
