This feature has been the No.1 request for a long time. There technical reason that this has not been implemented yet, but we are working towards the right direction. Let me explain.

First, we will provide a quick preview button right inside the Show editor. This button will allow you to push the current show to your test player(s) so that you can check how everything looks a) without saving the Show and b) without pushing to all affected Players. It should make it much easier to preview things fast. But, still, you need a Player to use for this. *We will add this to our Oct 26th release! Stay tuned!*

Now, concerning the web-based preview, we are working on a Web-powered Yodeck Player. This Player will be the basis for building a preview through the browser. This is quite hard to implement. Really hard. We are working towards…

Keep it free for one monitor, and add a watermark or something.
It is only to test before put in online!

We will be implementing OpenGL-based image playback, and we will be implementing transition options.

Minimum transition that will be provided is cross-fading and fade-through-black or white. Hopefully, most of the transitions here will work: http://transitions.glsl.io/ if they do, it will be really awesome.

This feature has been delayed. We first need to provide our new rendering engine that will allow to utilize the GPU of the Player. The new rendering engine release is now on beta. After we have the new rendering engine tested and working well, and after we have released it on our standard site, then we will start working on the transitions. Generally, the whole transitions mechanisms will need change, in order to provide better Playlist management internally during Playback. So, transition effects might take a while to arrive.

In the mean time, we will be providing a HTML-based Widget, providing slide and cross-fade transitions with…

We are considering adding an option to play a Playlist randomly. But this is half the story of what you described.

The other thing that you are implying is playing multiple Playlists per region. So, you can have some photos shown randomly, and then show a video. We are still designing a way to achieve that gracefully. There are three options that this could be implemented:

            - Support Playlists of Playlists
            - Support Playlists of Shows
            - Support Multiple Playlists per region in a Show

We have not finalized the design on how this will be implemented.

We will be releasing a full-fledged Weather widget soon.

In the mean time, you can now find a (local only) weather Widget based on the web widget provided by Accuweather.com. This is available on the production site right now.

Overall, we are planning to provide a better Weather Widget, that will perform much better, work offline, show forecasts, etc, so we will not be closing this idea yet.
