We do provide an Expiration Date for Media, but it does not delete the Media. It might make sense to delete the Media altogether.

Could you please let us know more usage details on why a Playlist/Show might need to be deleted on a date? That resemble a “Campaign”-like feature that is in our plans to provide. Let us know more details so that we can udnerstand the need and suggest a proper way to deal with it.

We are making some changes in our playback engine that might make this feature possible.

For sure, we are planning to provide an option to time-sync Playlists. This would allow you to create Playlists of Playlists, and sync the “master” Playlists. Combined with the special playlist item “Hide Playlist”, you could also change the layout.

Of course, this is rather complex, but it will be possible.

After this is possible, for providing a complete Show Sequence feature, it is more of a matter of strategy concerning simplicity of the platform; adding such a feature would complicate the user experience. But it is something that we will definitely consider.

Our current Weather Widget is functional, but not the best option. We planning to design a functional and great-looking Weather Widget within the next few months.

On a side note, we are planning to create Widget Themes, so that you can add Widgets to your screen and have a coherent and great looking result by selecting a Theme defining colors, fonts, and style.

Right now, the ticker is generated via a Python drawing library and the images are scrolled using the GPU. We plan to change this to HTML-based drawing of the ticker. We could then add an option for providing custom CSS styling for the text. I guess this should work fine for you.

We will be implementing OpenGL-based image playback, and we will be implementing transition options.

Minimum transition that will be provided is cross-fading and fade-through-black or white. Hopefully, most of the transitions here will work: transitions.glsl.io if they do, it will be really awesome.

This feature has been delayed. We first need to provide our new rendering engine that will allow to utilize the GPU of the Player. The new rendering engine release is now on beta. After we have the new rendering engine tested and working well, and after we have released it on our standard site, then we will start working on the transitions. Generally, the whole transitions mechanisms will need change, in order to provide better Playlist management internally during Playback. So, transition effects might take a while to arrive.

In the mean time, we will be providing a HTML-based Widget, providing slide and cross-fade transitions with…

Any update on these transitions effects??

We apologize for the delay. We have been working on a Facebook Widget for quite sometime now, but it is quite challenging to get this working right. Hopefully, we will have it ready in the next couple of months.

This feature has been the No.1 request for a long time. There technical reason that this has not been implemented yet, but we are working towards the right direction. Let me explain.

First, we will provide a quick preview button right inside the Show editor. This button will allow you to push the current show to your test player(s) so that you can check how everything looks a) without saving the Show and b) without pushing to all affected Players. It should make it much easier to preview things fast. But, still, you need a Player to use for this. *We will add this to our Oct 26th release! Stay tuned!*

Now, concerning the web-based preview, we are working on a Web-powered Yodeck Player. This Player will be the basis for building a preview through the browser. This is quite hard to implement. Really hard. We are working towards…
