We have devised a new approach to this feature request. We will be providing the ability to have multiple “Slides” per Layout. Right inside the Layout Editor, you will be able to add new empty “Slides”, essentially making Layouts a kind of a “Slide” deck. You will be able to populate these Slides either by coping/pasting items from other Layouts, duplicate a whole Slide from the current Layout or another Layout, or import a Layout from our Templates.

We are currently completing an internal refactoring of our Playback Engine, so this will hopefully get released towards Q4-2020! Stay tuned!

Hey, any update on this? figured this was possible when I purchased 5 players.
Might need to switch platforms if this truly isn't doable.

We will be creating a special Widget that will allow you to switch to specific HDMI inputs, or switch to the Live TV. All of this will happen through the HDMI cable using the HDMI-CEC protocol.

DISCLAIMER: This might not work with all screen brands. We will be performing tests to let our Users know some brands that work with this, but we can’t really test all brands out there.

In order to further improve compatibility, this Widget will also allow you to setup custom HDMI-CEC commands, so that you can control your TV.

Since this feature will be a Widget, it means that you will be able to add it to a Playlist (e.g. playback a 20" video and then switch to Live TV, and loop this), or add it to a schedule to have timed changes.

    Hi everyone!

Turns out that managing your content through cloud storage providers, such as Google Drive and Dropbox, makes a lot of sense for cases where content needs to be managed outside of the Yodeck dashboard.

This will be made available as a special kind of Playlist. You will add a Playlist, connect to your cloud storage providers and select a folder. Then, you use that special Playlist as any Playlist within Yodeck. Every time you make a change in your cloud storage, Yodeck picks up the change and updates the playlist automatically. You will be able to add any kind of file-based Media, like Image, Videos, Document and Audio files.

We will be starting with Google Drive first, with Dropbox following. We might also investigate other cloud storage providers, given enough interest from you, our users.
