Remote shell / reboot
It would be great to have remote access to the pi OS via the web portal (piSignage supports it).
Sometimes I need to reboot, or remotely shut down, and there's no way at the moment.
28 votesUsers now have a “Reboot” and “Shutdown” action within the Monitor details.
We still do not provide remote shell, but it is possible to do so. If you think there is a need for that, please post a new suggestion on the forum.

Twitter widget?
Is there a plan to add social media widgets? I saw someone post an idea for a widget store but if a default twitter widget were available that could be very useful. Mentions on one display and a complete twitter feed on the other would be ideal.
28 votesThe Twitter widget is out and ready to roll!
Feel free to log in to your Yodeck account and create this awesome widget!

Sync Multiple Pi's timing to allow Full-Res videos to be coordinated over multiple TVs.
A way to sync multiple Raspberry Pi's for coordinated video over multiple monitors using their full resolution.
25 votesThis is now available! You can sync Playlist playback, even between different Playlists and different Players! As long as the duration is (almost) the same and at least one Image is included in each synced Playlist, then playback will be synced perfectly – especially useful for digital menu-boards, take-over videos, or other screens mounted side-by-side.
You can find more information here: https://www.yodeck.com/docs/display/YO/6.+Playlists#id-6.Playlists-SyncedPlayback

4K support
Would be great to have 4k 25Hz support.
Otherwise this is the best digital signage software i have tested.25 votesStarting today, we will shipping out our newest Yodeck 4K Player, based on the Raspberry Pi 4 hardware! With the Raspberry Pi 4, we fully support 4K resolution, and soon we will also support 4K video decoding!
On Thursday Nov 7th 2019, we are updating our Yodeck Portal, so that users can choose between the standard Yodeck 4K Player (RPi4) with 1GB of RAM or the 4GB version that allows for more complex layouts and heavy data web dashboard! Check it out on Thursday!

Power on toggle
It would be great if there were a way to send power on or off CEC commands when your monitor doesn't come on.
23 votesWe have added two actions for turning screen on and off!

Add playback reports per media, per show, and per player, for reporting to advertisers
Ad agencies need reports on what has been played back. We need exact reports on what has played.
23 votesPlayback Reports are here!!
The first version of Playback Reports (a.k.a. proof-of-play reports) provide downloadable CSV files that contain Media ID, Player ID, Media Tags, Player Tags, timestamp generated, timestamp received, and a few other entries. These will be accessible via a simple configuration page to generate these reports on an daily, weekly or monthly basis.
Next iteration will add visualizations.

Live Chat Support
It would be great and very helpful if Yodeck able to provide live chat support.
21 votesWe now have chat support through the website during working hours! And within the next few weeks, we will also make it available inside the Yodeck dashboard. Finally, we will soon be announcing our Support SLA for Enteprise customers!

Multi User Accounts
Allowing the ability to add extra user accounts to manage the presentations with permission groups as well.
For example
- full user will get everything
- editor - can do everything but billing
- author - will only be able to create showsI hope that makes sense.
19 votesYodeck now supports managing multiple users per account. Each user can be assigned Permissions (View, Create, Change, Delete) for each section of the Yodeck Portal (e.g. Media, Shows, Schedules, Monitors, etc).

Ability to add Live TV
Perhaps could be done thru a HDMI to USB Input Device installed on the Player.
19 votesYou can now use a Lenkeng LKV373A sender device to act as an HDMI-in port for your Players.
Read more here: https://www.yodeck.com/news/any-hdmi-device-asvideo-infor-yodeck/
In the future, we might also be adding support USB DVB-T Tuners, depending on your how much this is requested by our users.

text insertion
Able to add text such as photos in playlist
17 votesThe TextBox Widget is now available on our production site. With it, you are able to edit text just like a richtext editor (e.g. MS Word), also specifying a background color and background opacity (transparency). You are able to add this Widget in a playlist, just like any other Media.
We are planning to improve this editor, because right now it does not provide many options that we feel our users need, but you can still use it in most cases. You can also specify custom HTML code, if you need to. But we are closing this idea now as completed!

Adding image icon for Custom widgets.
At present, there is only an icon option for custom widgets. It would be great if we can add custom images as icons for our custom widgets like the image icons of default widgets.
17 votesYou can now upload a thumbnail image as well as previews/screenshots for your Custom Widgets!
We are planning to launch a complete marketplace down the road, so make sure you build beautiful widgets that everyone can use!

Ability to render more advanced web content.
We have a number of websites that we want to display. Many of these are unable to be rendered using the Yodeck player but they render fine using a normal browser. Good example below:
16 votesWe now support Chromium as a secondary Web rendering engine! It is faster than our standard web viewer and can optionally provide limited support for Flash.
Only restriction is that Chromium cannot be rendered on top of video Playlists or other overlays. We plan to change that really soon. We issued a new suggestion for those of you that want to be updated on that: http://support.yodeck.com/forums/301815-general/suggestions/19400362-ability-to-overlay-chromium-and-pdf-on-top-of-vide
Keep in mind that Chromium is much heavier and resource-hungry than standard Web Viewer. You should always try the standard web viewer first, if possible. Having multiple Playlist on screen using Chromium can place a lot of load on your Player and can cause trouble in the long-run.

Volume control
Add the ability to control the device volume.
15 votesWe have added an option to mute the whole Player in the Player configuration.
We might be also implementing a scheduled volume control, if it gets enough traction. Check out the suggestions here:

Add support for Yodeck retrieving a media file from a URL instead of having to download and upload to Yodeck
It would be great to have an option for providing an image file or a video file from a URL instead of uploading to Yodeck. Files would still be stored on Yodeck servers, but the user won't have to download the media and upload it to Yodeck servers.
15 votesThis is now available! Yodeck can now fetch your files from a URL you provide.
Soon, we will also support connecting a Yodeck Playlist with a Google Drive folder or Dropbox, or other storage providers as well.
-
Weekday Filter
Make it easier to schedule certain times for the entire week/month/year by giving a weekday filter, which would apply the playlist/item you are wanting to schedule to certain days of the week (IE, Mon-Fri/Mon-Sat)
Would also work for hours, for example, if I want to play a "Happy Hour Specials" playlist between 14:00-16:00 Tues-Thurs, I would only have to enter it once to perform such task.15 votesThe “Repeat: Daily” option now provides for 7 checkboxes, one for each day of the week.
Enjoy!

Support Vimeo
There are two major video platforms in the world: YouTube and Vimeo. One is preferred by professionals for its emphasis on quality over quantity, but Yodeck only supports the other one. Implementing Vimeo support is just as easy as implementing YouTube support and would make Yodeck a more viable option for professional marketers whose video content is already on the Vimeo platform.
14 votesWe now support Vimeo as a source for Videos!
-
Add Support for Video Walls
Please consider providing video wall support. 2x2 would be sufficient for our needs. Thanks!
13 votesVideo-Wall with Yodeck are now possible! Here are the full instructions on how to set it up with Yodeck:
https://www.yodeck.com/docs/display/YO/Creating+a+Video-Wall+with+Yodeck
You use X+1 Players for supporting X number of screens (in any orientation or relative position, even asymmetric layouts) . The output of the “master” Player is connected to an HDMI-to-RTP device (LKV373A recommended), and all other Players will reproduce their respective part of the output.
We will soon add an easier way to setup the Video-Wall that will need much less configuration and fuss.

Would like a widget that can be set to count down from a set amount of time.
