The RSS ticker is fully working on our beta site. It is super smooth and quite flexible. You can add one or more entries, including static texts and RSS feeds. You also have a few customization options (font, font color/transparency, background color/transparency). You can also have more than 1 ticker on the same Show.

The current beta is expected to be released on our production site in mid-January. We are not accepting any more users now for the current beta cycle. In the announcement of the update, we will provide a new invitation for beta users within the newsletter.

For now, all widgets will not be charged (at least not for existing users).

We have started working on our OpenGL-based ticker. This will be the first Widget to be released. It will support RSS feeds, HTTP-fetched text, and fixed text, along with a few customization options (font, font color, background color, transparency, padding, etc)

Dev team stumbled upon some Raspberry Pi limitations, so it has taken longer than expected. We are trying to shift all rendering using OpenGL. Hopefully, this shift will be completed by the end of May and we will be able to release the RSS ticker one week after that.

Development for RSS ticker itself has already started and is progressing fast, so we should be on schedule.
