Play subplaylist items as a round robin
I have a customer that needs this functionality for its digital marketing displays. The have a several customer, each customer (a brand) can have one or many images/videos. They need to have a playlist with all subplaylist for each brand and play one spot per each brand after the other, so I would play first image for brand 1, brand2 and brand3, then second image fron brand1,brand2, brand3 and then third image for brand1, brand2 and since brand3 only have one image It would play again image1 for brand 3.
Something like a round robin queing for the images. This is key for my customer who currently have 300 displays and growing.
Thanks,

Sub-Playlist Restrictions are here!
When you add a Playlist as an item in another Playlist, then a “Options” button appears. Click it will allow you set the Max-Time and/or Max-Items. The first will define the total Playback time allow for each iteration of that Sub-Playlist, while the second will restrict the number of items played back. When using any of the two options and a Playlist is interrupted, the next playback of the Playlist will be picked up from the next item.
These two can be combined to have the effect described by the original poster of the idea. Sub-Playlists are only available in the “Pro” and “Enterprise” plans, so you will need to be on that plan to use Restrictions for Sub-Playlists.
For the requirement of the original poster of this suggestion, it is now straightforward to set 1 item per sub-playlist.
Enjoy!

Has this feature been added and which subscription level would you need to utilize?

Just to double check, so the new engine besides this functionality:
set it to play “X items” and/or “max X secs” from that Sub-Playlist.
Would also include the hability to play a item from each playlist after the other as I explained above?
Thanks
