System should prompt to tell you if media is in use somewhere before deleting.
When you delete some media, web page etc, should the system not prompt to tell you if it is in use somewhere? I know you can see this information when you edit the asset, but a warning you are about to delete something that is in use?

Option to set user permissions on Workspace level
Please add the option to be able to set permissions/role on Workspace level, so automatically any user in the Workspace or newly added to inherit the Workspace's permissions.

Add the option to use code for choosing colors
It will be a great addition for users to be able to chose font and background color, where this is offered, using its code instead of the mouse.
It will be easier for the users and also they would be able to match colors in pre-made slides that they use.0 votes -

Custom display for errors and boot time
It would be a nice addition if the user was able to set specific content (image, document, etc.) for display when the device has problems. Instead of the default ones for network issues, software corruption, someone could set specific information for display at will.

Monitors: Flag for online but not playing any content
Monitors: A (Pink!) flag that tells us that monitor (Pi) is online but plays no (scheduled) content (because of no schedule)

Columns to view workspaces each user has access to
Right now you have to click on each user individually to check what workspaces they have access to - it would be handy for audits/security checks to add a column called "Workspaces" to the Users page which shows all the workspaces they have access to

If you have multiple page PDF, it would be a nice feature, if a little progress bar shows how long the page will be displayed till the next appears. So the user notice that the page changes soon or not....

Better integration with Google Slide presentation. Should wait the end of the presentation before switching to the next playlist item. Should be connected with our Google account and not force to publish the slide to the web.

Screen sharing
I would be great if the yodeck device would also support screen mirroring (miracast, widi, airplay)? Use case: have signage in meeting rooms (when people come in, are not projecting,...), but as soon as the meeting starts: be able to mirror laptop screens (all brands) for regular meetings too. Would be a killer feature I believe!
24 votesIt would be difficult to support protocols like that. Currently, the Raspberry Pi supports 1080p video, so you would lose 4K resolution from your laptop. Also, the playback might induce a delay which might not be acceptable. Instead, we are considering to investigate more detailed HDMI-CEC support. We use CEC for turning the screen on and off, but it might be possible to use it to a) detect that another HDMI port was just connected, b) be able to interact with the remote, c) be able to automatically change inputs. This might make more options possible.
I am leaving this feature as “Accepted”, because the need is there and is correct, but the implementation for servicing this need might be different than the one described. If you think otherwise, feel free to comment!
