We are planning to provide trigger support within 2020.
We are now in the process of restructuring our rendering engine in order to allow several features to be implemented. One of these features is triggers. We are planning to initially support UDP, TCP/HTTP, GPIO events, and then support keyboard/mouse events.
[Draft Specs follow:] Triggers will be available as a different menu item, in order to manage, set them up, test them, and so on. After setting them up, Users will be able to use them in Playlists, e.g. to skip a Media (or Subplaylist) entry, jump to specific Media (or Subplaylist) entry, and so on.

We have started working on this! Content transitions, either when pushing updated content or when changing content due to scheduling, will be dynamically loading, so content won’t go through that balck screen!
Stay tuned!

Audio normalization could be implemented in two levels:
1) provide a volume slider in each video entry, so that you can differentiate volume per Media
2) normalize volume for all MediaBoth ways are right now unknown, and we have not had enough testing to say if any of the two is feasible. As soon as we do, we will update you here.

With UDP sport you could then connect into a wide range of building, event and lighting management systems. It would be a big step.
