We are developing a new HTML-based Player. It will run inside a browser. As soon as that is ready and working, we will provide a screensaver using the exact same technology to display content.

this is already there! if you send images at certain times with higher priority, the programming is interrupted and the images with higher priority take over! a valid utility I think is to allow you layouts to be included in the playlists
