Provide a Player App for Android (for compatible Smart TVs, TV Boxes, Tablets and Smartphones)
Yodeck currently works only on the Raspberry Pi hardware platform. It would be great to have Yodeck on Android-powered devices.

We do plan to provide a Yodeck Player app for Android. As you may understand, this requires a lot of effort. So, it might take several months until it gets completed. We target the end of 2017 for a first version, but it may well be 2018 until it gets released.

I haven't heard here any reply or any update about android app. I have sent some other inquiries also about some other things and I haven't hear about them also. Non responsiveness seems to make me worry that should I rely on yodeck for planning my business in digital signage.

Hi,
This is April of 2019 and I do not see any android app yet. Its hard to ignore android. Even Microsoft couldn't ignore it.
I read your one of the article form 2017 about the difference between android players and Raspberry Pi. Android players on SOCs have come a long way and Amlogic is the cheapest one and Allwinner too. I have hundreds of android boxes (2/16) that cost less than $30 landed in NY, US from China. I don't mind buying Raspberry Pi directly from you as I myself prefer Linux over Android for stability as it uses less resources but since I already have android boxes I would like to use them. When I already have a stock then why not use it.
So far I like yodeck and would like to see the screen division function also. The only thing that's stopping me from getting into whitelabel for yodeck is the non compatibility of android.
So please update us know when the android support will be available. This answer was written in 2017 saying that it could take until end of 2018 but now its april of 2019 and still not news. So please update! -

Non android support is a deal breaker for portable signage.
Any news from development ? Happy to be a beta tester , even an early alpha one !

I recently saw that NEC has a TV that supports the CM3. Maybe this is a path for integration?

Wonderful news to hear this is on the cards. Personally I would love to have this feature. It would be extremely beneficial to showcase the capabilities of Yodeck from a tablet.
