  2. Play Folder Function

    Rather than a making a playlist every time I need to add or delete a video or file, I can just delete or add the file into a specific folder.

  3. Fallback Show capability in case of network failure

    In use cases, where network failure, the fallback show where online elements ( like youtube videos, rss, live feeds etc.) are not present, would be displayed on screen.
    If screen will be back online, fallback show would be replaced by main show.

    If you need this to provide troubleshooting info, perhaps it makes more sense to allow for a Widget to be setup this way, e.g. show IDs, etc, and a custom text message. And we could provide such a troubleshooting Widget out of the box. Would this make more sense?

    Also, note that doing this for non-HTML content, such as Videos, YouTube, RSS Ticker, etc, can be tricky. Still, we will investigate.

  4. More analogue/digital clock options

    More customisable clock - remove numbers from analogue version. Smaller seconds on digital. Wider choice of fonts. Smaller date

  6. Live Player Simulator for config testing

    Virtual player within the configuration webpage so that we can test/see what the results should be before pushing to a live player. Would also be great to be able to create virtual video wall functionality, configure everything as we need. Then we could swap out the virtual players for real players easily for a live implementation.

  8. Allow for USB Mass Storage / Boot

    It would be good to allow for USB mass storage access. I have about a TB of 4k videos I would stream to a number of boxes and an SD card isn't the best way to deliver it. Plus if I can boot off an SSD drive vs a SD drive the read performance will be much improved.

  9. Support NFC tag with URL redirect

    I have seen another solution where you can put an NFC tag on the monitor. Then when you tap the tag it sends to to a website, but the website changes based on the content.

    Basically think of this, the NFC tag is a short url, but the short url changes what it points to based on whats on the screen. Basically each piece of media would have a url field. Great anytime you want to send content to a customers phone.

    So like tap here to get a coupon for whats on the screen.
    They were even showing it…

  11. Add new YouTube content, published on a defined YouTube channel, automatically to a media library & playlist.

    Right now this is a manual process. Would be interesting however for multinationals who have a (global) YouTube channel.

  12. Day/Time exclusions

    Would love to see a feature to exclude schedules on and image/ asset. Say I want to play something Monday-Thursday and exclude weekends. I know the functionality is there to create another playlist and add things but would be easier to exclude days. Just a thought. Saves having to update multiple play lists..Maybe even a recurring event “day or days of the week” until term date.

  13. Yodeck API

    Programmer access to yodeck. This was brought up a while ago saying it would be done by Q2 of 2017. Now in 2019 and we actually really need a solution to this to be able to change shows/schedules via our service and deploy the changes.

    Monitors: A (Pink!) flag that tells us that monitor (Pi) is online but plays no (scheduled) content (because of no schedule)

  16. RSS Feed to pin on Google Traffic map

    The Google Traffic is excellent for my use, for now. But I would like to add an RSS-feed to this map as well. Showing more detailed road problems around my district. Roads, ferries, tunnels, etc. Lots of work in Norway. So I need an option to pin different details on the map.
