a date when an image will expire and be removed from the playlist.2 votes
Expiration date for Media is already implemented, here is the original suggestion: http://support.yodeck.com/forums/301815-general/suggestions/17696950-asset-expiration
This however does not remove Media from Playlists. There might be a need to remove expired Media from Playlists without deleting it. So, I am leave this to be reviewed and to gather more traction.
It would be great to be able to schedule an auto reboot. Some of my players need to be rebooted 2 or 3 times a week.5 votes
We are currently working on this, it should be out on our late Oct release. You will be able to schedule a time of the day and days of the week to perform a scheduled reboot.
It's a very important thing to keep the cookies after reboot.9 votes
A new option will be added to Web Page Media to allow for saving session/cookies data across reboots.
A way that people can send messages to the Yodeck which are displayed on the screen.4 votes
Allow us to set a specific number of times an ad will play. For CPM we sell ads based on the 1000 impressions. With your system I am only able to put it up based on date, not number of times it plays.2 votes
Emergency Notifications / Alerts.
Ability to have a set of scripted notifications (with a sound) that can be triggered via either a local http GET or an API call to YoDeck.
eg "ALERT - Shelter in place", "FIRE - Prepare to evacuate" etc etc4 votes
The new audio functionality its great, but it would be even greater to been able to randomly play the audio tracks on the store.3 votes
It will be nice to be able to trigger content on demand via an external physical source like a USB button or via a UDP command form a mobile app. Features like play media on demand or be able to control playback features.13 votes
We are planning to provide trigger support within 2019.
We are now in the process of restructuring our rendering engine in order to allow several features to be implemented. One of these features is triggers. We are planning to initially support UDP, TCP/HTTP, GPIO events, and then support keyboard/mouse events.
[Draft Specs follow:] Triggers will be available as a different menu item, in order to manage, set them up, test them, and so on. After setting them up, Users will be able to use them in Playlists, e.g. to skip a Media (or Subplaylist) entry, jump to specific Media (or Subplaylist) entry, and so on.
On the playlist it would be useful to have some sort of notification of the dates set for each media, i.e date due to start playing and date due to end1 vote
I want to build a tag based playlist, where in the morning comes picture A and in the evening picture B. I can them both with "Tag Morning" and "Tag Evening". And build two playlists. But i think it can be easier to set a time or date range, like in the scheduler, right in the media settings. So that Picture A is only showed in the morning.
Is this possible?2 votes
Do an integration with https://zapier.com/ , thus providing integration with a multitude of online services, like Dropbox, Google Drive, and other services.10 votes
We are planning to complete integration with Zapier within 2018. This will provide integration with popular services, like Google Drive, Dropbox, Instagram, and many more.
Have a link on the users dashboard for the Yodeck user manual, but have it only display information relevant to the users permissions.
We are on the enterprise plan with multiple users with different permissions, that have no idea how to use yodeck. I am having to go through and copy all the links in the user manual that are only relevant to their permissions....essentially making a tailored user manual for everyone which gets pretty tedious.1 vote
It would be great if we could configure multiple wifi profiles on the device and set priority. This way it could connect to a "Primary WiFi" (ideally the customers) but if it can't and a tech is on site, have it connect to their hotspot as a backup and have it preprogrammed (I.e. if you can't connect to customer wifi, connect to a failover wifi profile we can configure through the portal.) Typically we provision the device before it goes out to customer this way in theory it's plug and play if they provide us with the correct wifi info if not and a tech goes out, they can just turn the predetermined hotspot on their phone so player can phone home and get new updated primary wifi.

This makes sense. We will add support for a second WiFi soon.
We are also planning to provide support for WPA Enterprise.
When I build a Playlist, I need the function:
Just pic one element with the tag "example"
I don't want to have a tag based playlist inside a playlist, just a random element from one tag.
It would be great3 votes
we need a browser that supports hardware acceleration in order to have video or animation render in the browser smoothly. Currently even simple animation isn't smooth, and is really limiting what we can use Yodeck for. This is particularly problematic with custom widgets where our hands are tied as far as development goes because everything that moves is choppy. It looks like others have developed webkit based browsers that support hardware acceleration that could be similar to what we would need in yodeck? https://forums.resin.io/t/fullscreen-webkit-browser-with-hw-accelerated-css-webgl-and-html5-video-on-the-raspberrypi-3/7414 votes
This does seem indeed promising! We will be investigating and letting you know!
When adding multiple media to a playlist it would be nice to have a box / indicator stating the total duration of the playlist itself1 vote

Touchscreen Support11 votes
We do have customers using touchscreens with Yodeck. We do plan to provide some better support for configuring the touchscreen.
Touchscreens are usable with Widgets and Web Page, and we plan to expand support for navigating content (move to next, previous) and add support for an on-screen keyboard and navigation buttons for the web browser.
Option to manually enter WIFI name and password directly to "Player". This would be really appreciated.
e.g.: Client connects keyboard and mouse. After pressing some keyboard shortcut(e.g. ALT+W) graphic window will pop up and allow to choose wifi and set password.26 votes
This makes perfect sense. And we are already working on that. Hopefully, we will provide something soon.
Am new with Yodeck but I would like to see either faster loading of new/changed content over typical client wifi speeds OR some way to blank the screen while new imagery is loaded. My experience so far (limited I admit) leads me to think my shows are amateurish when I have to look at periods where things are sequentially being blacked out and sequentially replaced.Makes me think of the old days when things like this were really slow. Surely there is a better way in 2018.3 votes
I guess you are talking about transition from one show to another. This will be significantly improve really soon. We are working on an improved version of the playback engine that will allow much faster transitions.
Stay tuned to see it get released!
