TV On/Off Schedule
Schedule monitors to turn on and off automatically.
4 votesThis is already available in Yodeck! You need to create a Schedule and use the special Show called “Turned Off”. This will turn off your screen. You can read more on our manual here: https://www.yodeck.com/docs/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=15171710

User Customizable Screenshot timeframe or on demand screenshot
It would be nice if users had the option to manually select the amount of time at which the platform creates a screenshot for each monitor, not all deployment run on unlimited data and must save precious data capacity where needed.
for example i just found myself in a situation where we are running deployments on 4g modems with 2gb data plans, for content delivery and monitoring. the screenshot runs every 30 seconds as long as your online and every 2 hours if you are offline and each screenshot is about 76 KB in zise. let's say you have 10…
4 votesThis is now available. No matter if you are online or not, screenshots of all Players are refreshed every 2 hours. If you open the details of a specific Monitor, then the specific Player will start uploading screenshots every 30 seconds, and 5 minutes after you leave that page, it will return back to uploading new screenshots every 2 hours.
This should severely reduce bandwidth since, in most cases, you do not need to go into that page. This way, traffic for screenshots should be reduced to less than 1MB per day.

Set a maximum duration per playslist/show
set a maximum duration per (sub)playlist or show, the user can not exceed this time.
for example : I have lot of playlists on a monitor.
the #1 show corporate video (the duration is automatic) and the others are managed by different services but they only have the ability to broadcast a message for 30 seconds.
We should be able to assign a maximum duration for each playlist
and keep control of the total duration of the broadcast loop.4 votesSub-Playlist Restrictions are here!
When you add a Playlist as an item in another Playlist, then a “Options” button appears. Click it will allow you set the Max-Time and/or Max-Items. The first will define the total Playback time allow for each iteration of that Sub-Playlist, while the second will restrict the number of items played back. When using any of the two options and a Playlist is interrupted, the next playback of the Playlist will be picked up from the next item.
These two can be combined to have the effect described by the original poster of the idea. Sub-Playlists are only available in the “Pro” and “Enterprise” plans, so you will need to be on that plan to use Restrictions for Sub-Playlists.
Combine with access rights and Workspaces, this can be ideal for managing distributed content managers that need to be limited on the total screen time!
Enjoy!

Local or internal web page resolution
Please can you let Players resolve internal network addresses so that we can display local web pages. At the moment we can only display web facing pages. E.g. local DNS setting
3 votesSorry for the late notification. We have released an option that allows you to deactive the standard Google DNS servers we use by default. This way, only the internal DNS servers on your network will be used.

Adding add/remove buttons to the top of the media pages.
Instead of having to scroll down the page to add media to any category, like images, it would be convenient to have the buttons at the top of the page as well.
3 votesButtons are sticky now, no matter where you have scrolled the page! Hope this make Yodeck even more easy to use!

Custom aspect ratios
We are planning to use Yodeck on big LED displays which are built with 32x32 modules. It works fine otherwise, but it's not very intuitive if aspect ratio does not match on the Show editor.
For example, display has 480*96 resolution. This is 16:3.2 .. Yodeck has choices 16:4.5 and 16:3, which means 480x135 or 480x90. When editing with 16:4.5, you have to remember not put anything on the bottom or it won't be visible.
So, why can't I set the aspect ratio to any custom values?
3 votesSupport for custom aspect ratios has been released. It should make managing non-typical screens, video walls, and LED matrix displays much easier.

Add fit/crop option for playback of images or videos
When playing a playlist of images or videos, the content is cropped to cover the whole area specified in the show editor. There should be an option to fit content inside the area. This way, when showing both landscape-sized and portrait-sized content in the same playlist, they will not be cropped and everything will show up correctly.

The ability to turn off snap to grid when placing playlists and sizing them on a show screen.
- The ability to turn off snap to grid when placing playlists and sizing them on a show screen. My graphics almost never have the exactly the right proportions causing clipping or black bars to appear. Another solution would be to be able to specify the exact size and position of the playlist.
3 votesJust released an update that allows you to place content on Show with pixel-perfect positioning.

Fix Transparency in Playlists for Video and PDF Content
Playlists that contain media of various aspect ratios inevitably have empty space when the content is scaled to fit.
With images, the extraneous space is transparent, which looks great. For videos and PDFs, the empty space is filled in black. This doesn't look so hot. This is the only major issue we're waiting on to roll out now, so a fix would be very much appreciated when possible.
Thanks.
3 votesThis fix has been released! Videos now respect the Transparency setting, even if changing aspect ratio.

Make an automatic backup of our account with all playlists, settings.
Make an automatic backup of our account with all playlists, settings. (once a day, once a week). This will help to fix any situation if someone accidentally deleted the necessary videos, changed the settings.
3 votesWe do take backups internally. Any file deletion is scheduled to be purged after 90 days. So, effectively, we can manually recover a complex account, or a specific section of the account, within 90 days.
However, providing this as a feature would be quite complex, as it would require to handle handling backups from older versions of the system and import them into the current version.

Wifi-signal strength and network name indicator
It would be useful to have an Wifi-signal strength indicator on the Status -page. Also the name of the currently used Wifi-network name would be useful.
3 votesThis info is now available in the Status page of the Monitor.
We are also planning to add WiFi scanning and other tools through the web portal, but that won’t come until late 2018.
