Run once with Schedules
It would be nice to have the option to configure something in a Schedule once. Its duration will be auto-calculated, instead of having to calculate and set the duration, especially for Playlists.

Repeat Media/Playlists/Layouts in Schedules Every 10 Minutes at Least
I have about 30 monitors with 30 different schedules. Each schedule rotates 5-minute-long media and playlists every 30 minutes, 24 hours a day. If I want to change one of my playlists to a layout in every schedule, I'd have to hand select and change all 2,160 items.
I'd like to be able to repeat media/layouts/playlists at least every 10 minutes per day rather than only being able to repeat media every day.

Capacity to add multiple links of youtube at once and/ or use youtube channels with list of videos
13 votesCurrently, we have no way to know that what the users has specified can indeed be fitted on the SD card storage. Providing an easy way to add tens or hundreds of YouTube videos, would probably cause issues. But we are looking into it and we will probably provide this in the near future.

Remote PC viewing
Would it be possible to make the Pi a VNC viewer? The use case for this could be for presentations or demos where a PC desktop is required, a PC can have the VNC server broadcasting a (view only) stream of its desktop. The Pi can then view this stream?

13 votesIf you are talking about additional font for the Web Page viewer, we would need more information. Perhaps, this is resolved by the addition of Chromium browser (check this idea: http://support.yodeck.com/forums/301815-general/suggestions/13794672-ability-to-render-more-advanced-web-content)
If you are talking about the RSS Ticker, we plan to add support for a Unicode font, so that all characters can be rendered (Chinese being the most problematic one right now).
Please provide more feedback on this.

WPA2-Enterprise
Even though this service is commonly used by companies, there is a severe lack of support for WPA2-Enterprise. The functionality should support all of the following:
- Authentication with certificate.
- Authentication with username and password.
- Allow automatic renewal of certificate.
- Insecure authentication which ignore lack of certification.
Currently this has to be done manually which is really risky, as soon as you use the integrated web functionality, it will overwrite all previous settings, setting the RPi in a state which forces manual configuration by hardware retrieval.

Countdown Timer - More Options
I would love to see the ability to make changes to what is displayed on the countdown timer widget. More specifically, the ability to remove the seconds from the timer so that it counts down by minute.

Smart Playlists - Automatically play all images in a specific folder. This will eliminate the extra step of adding new images to a playlist after loading them.
12 votesWe already have support for Tag-based Playlist. It allows you to create a Playlist that pulls in all Media based on combinations of Media Tags. So, you can upload Media, tag them, and Playlists are updated automatically.
The Tag-based Playlists feature is available under the “Pro” plan.
We are thinking about using Folders in a similar way.

provide a quick mechanism to override the current schedule
I am envisioning something like exists on a typical programmable thermostat, which allow you to override the schedule without actually editing the schedule. I am using the signs in a church, and most of the time the schedule works well, however if there is a special service day or time change, I'd like to be able to say "play show X now" - either forever or until a certain time. After I cancel the override, or the time is reached, then the normal schedule resumes.

Hourly repetitive schedule request
Easily schedule media repetitive playback on the hourly basis. It would be great to schedule a photo or video to repeat onece or more times per hour, without having to manually create such a schedule. For example, Photo 1 would display every hour on a ceratain day for 5 mi utes at 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. Then again at 9:15, 10:15, 11:15, etc. This would be great for restaurants or similar establishments to “inject” a advertisement as needed.

Manage email alerts on a per player basis
I have a testbench yodeck player that may not be online 24/7 (sits on my desk to test when needed). It would be nice to be able to turn off offline alerts for specific players, like my testbench player, but keep other player's alerts on.
12 votesThis makes 100% sense, and there are many cases. To name a few:
- “on-off” test players
- “known problems”, like a Player that is offline and it is actually OK to be so, e.g. due to known internet issue at the installation site
- sites where the power to the Player is cut off every nightWe are planning to support the option to mark an offline Player as “OK” until a given date or until it comes back online, so that notifications and stats are kept clean.
Concerning on-off Players, we could provide an option for customizing the timeout per Player for sending an email (currently fixed at 5 hours and 24 hours). An even more complex option would be to use a Schedule for determining when a Player should be online, but I think this would be overly complex and would not provide any significant advantage over…

Broadcast a Message
Broadcast an immediate message on all screens or a group of screens.
11 votesAlthough it sounds interesting, this feature needs refinement.
In the new version to be released this week, we do have a text Widget. You could add this text Widget to all Shows on top of all other content. You would set it to transparent background and do not type anything. Then, when ever you wanted to sent a message, you would edit the Widget, type the message, and push to all devices. But would this suffice as an “emergency broadcast”?

Email alert on high temp readings
I recently discovered what a thermometer icon in the upper right hand corner meant. As my screens are in multiple locations, I was unaware that a device was experiencing a temperature threshold. This is not apparent in the GUI at all.
Can this alert email the administrators?
Can this reading be made available in the online GUI?11 votesFirst, keep in mind that this icon indicates that the device is overheated so it is being throttled down (lowering performance) in order to prevent the temperature from rising. This has a performance hit, but it does not affect reliability severely. So, we do not consider it a critical issue. You have “hot” devices running, and they will work fine throttled.
The device temperature is available in the “Status” tab in the Monitor details of the Yodeck portal, so it is actually available in the UI.
It does make some sense to warn the user, since the overheating can be managed so that there is no performance hit. We are planning to create a kind of message centre inside the app to provide important messages to Users, which could include some device status alerts. I am marking this suggestion as “Accepted” and we will investigate when this message center is…

Add wind chill and wind speed/direction
It would be nice to be able to display the wind chill and wind speed/direction for colder climate areas.
